Very nice Cam

Months after making an impulse buy, finally had a chance to play with the new (to me) .204...

Sweet spot!
Nice...Zastava?
Looks like a Ruger
That muzzle thread is crying for a suppressor! :-)
How does she shoot?
Is the action bedded and the barrel free floating ?
Yep, it's @Double Shot's ruger from a while back. Couldn't let it go.
In lieu of going shooting I have bedded it, free floated the barrel & done a little work on the trigger - though it needs more, as it's still very creepy.
Helas, the ruger trigger remedy is to go with an aftermarket one. Look at jard, rifle basics and timney.
It's dead easy to work on, if I bork it I'll pick up a Timney.
Added another CZ to the collection, 452 Full Stock 22lr. Have had an eye out for this model in particular for a long time now.

I have skinner sights on my other CZ so for this one I went slightly different and picked up a pair of Tech-SIGHTS, fantastic bit of kit.
Nope, rear sight fits on the dovetail and front sight you slip off the old hood and blade then slide on the new ones. Check out their website plenty of different models. Really well put together, all of it feels like quality not cheap. No plastic used.
Finally finished, Twin Needle Stock pack, bolt handle etc.
Now for the load development.
Mean man pit :gangs:
Nobody has yet managed to convince me that well fitting optilocks are in any way inferior to military fashion picitinny rings and rails, particularly on normal calibre rifles.
They have a better fit potential for sub 50mm scopes, lower weight or close than rails and rings, ascetically cleaner, no fitting hassles, self centering and non marking.
I prefer the one piece for weight and simplicity.
There is argument, if your scope choice is either large or long for alternatives, but outside that the objections to optilocks seem unfounded, I have never had problems with them, and the arguments for strength and reliabilty issues seem overstated.....
If you smash your rifle enough to move your scope, you have likely smashed your scope anyway.
It seems more a tactical fashion statement, than a solution to a problem that doesn't exist....
This opinion is worth precisely what was paid for it...... but thats just what I have found..... :)

A bit of a restoration project but always wanted a A1
Picked up a McMillian Sako Hunter Edge tech at a reasonable price (less than a cost of a Senator) for the recently acquired M595 in 284win, oh i cant wait to its all bedded....

I'm loving the Sako 75 style monte carlo cheek piece. The Rifle shot very well with the factory stock so hopefully it stays the same or improves.
Wrong thread can admin please deleted

New toy arrived at the door this morning. Something I've been pondering getting for at least 8 years.

It's a copy of a Sharp Innova air rifle, made under licence in Indonesia and called a Cannon 737L. It's a multi pump job and can fair spit the pellets out if you can pump it enough. I'll do a few modifications to it in due course, like loosing the plastic end on the barrel and making up a new shorter metal piece to hold the barrel and pump tube together.
New toy finally arrived, Blaser stutzen

30-06, wrong barrel was sent was supposed to be fluted without sights, so will use this one until they run the correct one :)
Why change it? Open sights are good.
