New life breathed into @Pointer 's 308. Little dpt can and a 3-9 vx2
Was the dirtiest barrel I think I've ever seen. After a hell of a scrub it looks like new. Attachment 41883
Pointer certainly is a grubby bugger

Heres my new girl CZ 527 in .17 Hornet, varmint barrel, Bushell Trophy XLT 600 scope and MAE suppressor, works very well
The ultimate bunny gun
Toyota corolla in 308, about 12 years old, sold the walnut for a B&C and had change left over, recently shortened to 16" and supressed - huge difference, can now watch them drop even at 10 meters.
Shoots federal blue box fast enough to kill anything in the bush, shot this furry fella last weekend

your not supposed to clean savages
Tobys advice not mine :) @Freezer it previously belonged to @thedrunkfish . I put 40 rounds through it max. The mud in the checkering was his also. Glad you kept it on there it adds character :D
I did not like that rifle, i dont know what it was. I only fired 20 rounds through it, that was enough for me.
Well those 60 combined rounds did a great job of breaking in the barrel. It looked like a 7mm projectile would have been sweet down it.
Thankfully no damage, and I've no doubt it's still going to provide use as a walking stick and supplying an excessive amount of meat for curries.
? Am I missing something? :wtfsmilie:
So your saying it's shot out?
new to me no4 mk1 lee enfield
i put an ATI stock and scope rail on it and burris 3-9x40 scope.
off to sight it in tomorrow.... hopefully.
the whole rifle is about 800mm long. will be interesting to see how it shoots

I like the bipod, were could I buy one?
Looks like one of these
http://www.sinclairintl.com/shooting...prod44699.aspx
Correct it is the SINCLAIR 3RD GENERATION F-CLASS BIPOD mounted to a Anshutz rail using a Sinclair Deluxe Bipod Rail Adapter.
Bought from Sinclairs webstore.
Got my .17 HRM back from Alan Carr after the bolt and trigger were playing up, outstanding work as always, got him to give it a good clean and lighten the trigger while he had it. Now shoots even nicer.

My new bush rifle ruger M77 MK2 243 with a bushnell banner 3-9x40 going to replace with a VX1 and she will be all go ! Looking forward to getting it to the range before hunting ! Overall the gun is very tidy and looks great trigger will smoothed out by a gun smith when funds are available as its on the heavy side but should be sweet as !
I had the exact rifle shot my 1st roaring stag with it , I wish I had never sold it .It was a good reliable rifle and with a trigger polish it was a top shooter. You won't go wrong with it mate ,oh I used a 4x fixed power leupold which suited it and kept the weight down.
Haven't weighed it yet, but confident it'll be under the limit.
Changed the scope to a 2nd Nightforce - the youngster is more than happy with that.
We're running the barrel at the moment. 10 shots over 2 1/2 hours with lots and lots of cleaning between shots.
Attachment 42462
The youngster isn't used to shooting from a standing position from a bench which might explain the vertical spread.
Picture is rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
The final shots were grouping at the top. Squares are 1" so about 1 MOA at 100 yards.
155 gr projectiles, 46.3 gr 2208 in virgin Lapua Palma brass.
How do you think it will do once the barrel is run in?
Aiming to be there for the Ladies' Long. Might bring two rifles and two shooters.
Sako A1 with an 18" criterion barrel, 1:8" twist .223. Factory stock (because lol custom rifles, had 2x High Tech Specialties go missing in the post). Action&floorploate and whatnot cerakoted in some kind of black colour. Factory front sight, factory Sako peep sight. Intended to be a light/short work gun. Heavier than intended because of the current stock (I'm now on the stug waiting list), and I think I need to a) get a new front sight blade as the current one is a bit fatter than I prefer, and b) have the front sight screw holes re-drilled as I might have beat them out of round a bit punching in the blade. Gonna shoot 77gr PMC match cos I have a bunch of it, until I can be bothered handloading the 70gr Barnes
