Ryan, the other thing to watch out for if you want to pillar bed a Sagave, is that the sear is in the way of the rear pillar. The sear has to be ground away to allow enough space around the pillar. The following link contains a photo of what it should look like. Savage Stock Bedding
Stole this off a mate, got it up the hill today, shoots well
Off with @Dundee to smack a deer with it

Nice @BRADS what did he convert to do the 7SAUM... what magazine is he using in it? Capacity and feeding?
Holds 4 feeds better than any Saum I've had.

Talked In to parting with her haha :D gone to a good
Home though.
Took it out for a check/sight-in yesterday, still likes the same loads which is handy - shot 6mm group with the 53vmax and 12mm with the 68bthp so I'm happy :D
Had a tinker with the Mk2 BTVS 22 as well after noticing the barrel wasn't floating properly. Now doing 12-15mm @ 50yds with Winchester 555 bulk ammo so happy enough with that too :)
Got something with a little more push than the 243. A Zastava in 7mm Rem Mag with suppressor and a new pair of trousers to attach when I get a chance to inlet for the safety and do a bedding job.

Then to do a bit of load development and shoot the thing.
Decided to make over my REM 308 sps and put on a H S Presion stock and new trigger guard.
http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/...psmv5uqavg.jpg Seems to fit darn well, shoots ok with what we can gather with a shit rest last night to see how it goes. No recoil pad thou so have to get one, anyone got a recommended one to get? Don't think I really need a limp saver thou but maybe. Looks like plastic pad on end is glued on, cheers
Got my endorsements and built a new AR15 :)

Spikes tactical BCG
Wilson combat 18" fluted SS barrel.
LUTH-AR stock
Midwest industries lightweight handguard.
Harris bipod
VX1 Leupold scope 4-12x
Need a new trigger, but the one I want is out of stock, milspec SUCKS!
Well at last it has arrived...
Rebuild on a Ruger LA re-created to be a 6.5 x .284 with 22" barrel 1-8 twist, Boyds Laminate in Jacaranda glass bedded, MAE Compact Suppressor, with a Vortex Viper 4-16x50 EBR-1 MOA scope...
I also have the original Ruger Skeleton stock with the walnut inserts, so I can change it to be a little lighter...
Tomorrow will be some sighting in before we go chasing Sika over the weekend...
All the barrel, chambering, bead blasting and so on has been done by Hugh at Stager Sport, and a fine job I might say, fingers crossed she's a top shooter...

I like that stock colour, looks better than my pepper one. Did you have to pay extra for it or is it a new standard option?
Maes are probably the quietest but heaviest on the market

Preliminary shoot this evening after work.
Nice Danny!! I'll text ya this weekend, going for a gong smash if you're keen :)
Rain, hail or storm ...Let's go[emoji106]
@Danny
I don't like you anymore.
All jokes aside - very nice!
@Jexla What trigger are you getting?
I just fitted the Hiperfire enhanced duty. A steal at USD $85 from Brownells compared to double that and more for 'match triggers'.

The JP trigger is pretty decent.
Better than any trigger I am used to using/used on a MSSA.

Wish I'd bought one years ago.....I love this shotgun, someone had fitted twin triggers to it....I use RC Sipe cartridges and they are the business.....
