Sure the above is a guideline, not mandatory but a far improvement from when mag serialization was required and no doubt hundreds were just stamped by Johns as J001.

My mag serial numbers all start with 8008135, got approved just fine. Hope they had a little giggle at it, life is too short to be serious all the time
