Yeah, they're finicky like that. I remember going into a sports store, years ago, whereby I wanted to know the date when I purchased a certain firearm. The owner, the same guy I purchased it off, said he'd look it up when he had the time! Being naively innocent, I kindly offered my time to search for it in his book, as I had plenty of it, to which he refused, citing that I'd have access to all who purchased firearms off him in the last 20 years or so, and that'd never do!

I don't believe he ever managed to tell me when I made my purchase, whether that be due to genuinely not finding it or genuinely not looking, however, I do believe they're supposed to hold onto that info for a long time. It was something like ten years or so ago that I approached him, and I was enquiring about a purchase I did some twenty years or so earlier!

Just ring them up and ask them!
