Plano Pro Max Gun Case
Grouchy Smurf had it right all along...
Pelican should do one I would have thought.
I'm just up the road for you BRADS, you can borrow my hacksaw if you want.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds
yeah - I grabbed my stock books and nup nothing to 60inch
What are you putting in it?
The biggest Pelican (1750) is I think 50" internal. I have the biggest Plano which gives around 53" internal, all too short for u. Before I got the Plano I priced a custom case from a company that specialises in cases for sound equipment for bands. It was nice but too expensive. Best of luck.
haven't seen any plano or pelican case that long
just measured mine, is 52 inches
longest peli on their website is 53 (1750) and plano is 53.25 (pro-max)
Cabelas have a 62 inch "black-powder" case made of alu. And also Aluminum Rifle Case, Hard-Sided Rifle Case and Gun Case. But you're going to get nailed on shipping. Make one out of ply ?
haha, snap Zimmer, we must have been typing at the same time
Thanks guys. Yep that pelican 1750 at $1200 is a joke. It's 54 with the stock off I just thought someone might no of something that would do might have to get one made.
It's just to throw in the ute canopy
BRADS - WTF are you shooting, a punt gun. I thought gun was long enough, with a 32" barrel the only way it fits is to remove the adjustable butt, easily done though. I think 1750 Pelicans are still around at ~ $800 but that is still expensive. If all you want to do is chuck it in the back of a ute and assuming there is a canopy for dryness you would be better to make a wooden case. The custom built one I looked at was excellent (except for the price), aluminium but still quite heavy.
Yep that's what I'm thinking.
Least I can get a 60 inch one made to save taking the stock on and off
Ask KG about his 'gun coffins'.
If my work annoys me, I cull them

If you go down the road of making one yourself from plywood, you will need at least $200 of materials and every second evening for a month. (double that if you're like me, unskilled and and only made a couple before).
