That is the reamer only, no gages required as I already had them & they aren't cheap either

Wow, so even a Hardy or TF barrel is getting close to $2000.

I was quoted last year around $600 for barrel fitting, clambering etc.

Maybe consider a criterion barrel.

Man shits getting expensive

I'm surprised no one in NZ has started doing Tikka shouldered pre-fit barrels.

Tikka and Sako would be the most common hunting rifles in NZ, and Tikkas especially popular for rebarrelling.

Minimum price for a contoured barrel blank in nz is around the $1000 mark.
These guys could be an option for cheaper but the quality and accuracy might not always be there.
