I'm assuming no need for ear pro for both the Mae or the dpt?

I think with all suppressors you should still wear ear protection when you can (i.e. the range) but for hunting where you are only firing a few shots it's quiet enough that it doesn't matter.
When I got my first one on a 308 I took it out for an afternoon's varminting without ear protection. 50 rounds later my ears had the familiar ringing in them.
Depends on the cartridge. Supers do make a bit of a crack but supposedly MAEs are tested hearing safe. Also from expreience the quietest when shooting sub-sonics.
Also nothing wrong with the Gunworks suppressors for low volume shooting however I must say that I like the idea of the new DPT with the SS section is probably a winner for my next can.
