    Harris bipod new vs old?

Well I've searched all over and come up with nothing.

What's the difference between the Harris S-LM, and the HBLMS?

Both are swivel, notched legs, 9-13"

Are they exactly the same thing? Different generations?

Are Harris really worth so much more than others ie bushbuck?

223nut: Yes. I bought a bushbuck just to get me started.
It's ok, but it's a bit flexy, tightening it onto the stud has noticeably worn the metal under the screw (on-off rifle less than 20x and not over-tightened), bouncy rubber pads between the bipod and stock.
Harris just feel solid, none of the issues above.

The 1A2 series of Harris are the best, they are the lightest and firmest for everything from uberlight rifles to the heaviest big bangers

Well, kinda. Not sure they're worth double but you can't put a price on reliability... I have both.

The bushbuck is actually pretty good but needs refining...

The locking knob on mine can be a bit fiddly and the little legs? That attach to the swivel stud get into a niggly position when the bipod is removed and that just takes the edge of quality wise.
It looks good and performs well in the field but it doesn't feel as well made as the Harris.

And I agree with the worn metal too. My Harris is 9 years old And not even close to the wear the bushbuck has and thats only 6 months old.
