As above, I have a factory Tikka stock and atlasworx bottom metal which needs inletting. Am I pulling myself thinking I can give it a go and should I just contact a smith? Or have any of you managed to do it yourself?
Advice welcome..

I gave it a go and screwed a stock..... ended up selling the bottom metal
I've done a couple into synthetic stocks with very basic tools, they work alright but the fit is not the same as factory or what a gunsmith with the "right" gear will achieve.
I've also done a couple of assemblies of the Atlasworx bottom alloy metal into T3 B&C stocks. Fairly easy. Just
go slow and try the fit often. I expect the factory synthetic stock would be much the same. If you wanted
to make it easier you could splash out on a Dremel too kit. Used, they are fairly cheap and then sell it on when
you have finished your gunsmithing Task (after you have done the pillar bedding job).
