    Help on Bipod Spring

I am looking for some help in locating a spring for a bipod. Mr. H has a Accu-Tech notched leg bipod on his rifle.

On Saturday night he and I were out on the hill chasing 6 pigs.

    https://www.huntingpa.com/threads/an.../#post-4084853

We killed three, with 5 bullets, whoops! And in the process he lost one of the springs off his bipod. As Mr H is a poor pensioner, he relies on me, the bread winner to provide his hunting gear and I’m not in favour of shelling out for another bipod if we can replace or find the spring

So anyway, is there anyone on the forum who knows where I could acquire a spring like the one in the picture above.

    Thanks for reading.

I see you are in Selwyn, @akaroa1 is into making springs I believe (could be wrong here) having the other one to work off as a model would make it easier

Assuming they aren't available on a shop shelf anywhere.

If you or mr h are trying to get a ring off (in the background with the olive oil) have a look into using a length of dental floss or cottton wrapped tightly round the finger multiple times to and then under the ring iirc

Can't help with the bipod spring but can point out that Captain Cook was not a Dutch explorer...

Expensive to make custom but Kennedy has thousands of stock springs and he might let you rat through some of the boxes of odds and ends

Find two, as near to the remaining spring as you can, then fit the two matched springs and keep that remaining one as your spare. Otherwise you’re highly likely to end up with different tensions on the legs and at the very least, it’ll feel weird when you open the legs!
