REF Primary Arms, would you go FFP? Packs a bit more on the tag but the reticle naturally makes more sence.

you can get mounts to put them on just about anything, I have them on a AR,a ak and on a 10/22.
Persononly think the glass in them is far above most other scopes selling for the same soert of $, and they acuratly dial. I personly think glass and dialing is more important than zoom, and I hate to say it but your not going to get all three in that price point. I now run a dialable 1-8 scope for the use your describing, but thats in a whole different catogary price wise.

Mate I used one for about 8 weeks and shot from 10m to 500m and it didn't seem to matter with the 5.56 / 223.

I'd go 2FP and use the savings on ammo!

Hi-Lux Optics Close Medium Range Scope (CMR) Illuminated Ranging Reticle 1-4x24

    Burris AR-P.E.P.R. Scope Mount (30mm)

I have these off my AR replaced it with a Swarokkkiyee Z8i 1-8 and a JP extended mount would accept an offer.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far team. Has put some good options on the table that I otherwise wouldn’t have thought of.

    I put a Nikon Monarch 3, 1-4x 20 on my Sav 99, 358 Win Lever.
I was looking for something for action hunting at 0-20 mtr Pigs and goats in scrub and spotlighting but still able to take large game out to 300 mtr.
Have been very happy with the clarity of the lenses. Only had it for 6 months so not done a lot of shooting.
Range trip last weekend and at 200 mtr the 12" and 6" gongs where nailed but the 3" one was just about covered by the German #3 reticle so I left that one for the bolt action. I could see my bullet holes at 100 mtr and the splash marks on the gongs.
I'm OK with that as a 6" gong at 200 mtrs = dead deer out to 300 mtr.
Also had a Nikon 2-8x32 on my 22 mag and now son's 223. He shoots 6" reactive targets at 250 mtr with that one.

Nikon do a range of AR scopes in 1-4, 1.5-4.5, and 2-8, up to 4-16 etc plus illuminated and reflex sights you could bolt on the side. 223, 308, 300blk etc
    Try
Rifle Scopes - Nikon Scopes - The Rifle Scope Store

The Monarch 7 is the top line, then the 5 and 3 series. Followed by the Prostaff, Buckmaster, & 22Rf lines. Plus Crossbow, pistol and black powder scopes.

The MONARCH 3 1-4 is a heck of a scope. Great MONARCH glass and as you said, able to get you on target accurately. Nikon has a new M-Tactical in 1-4x24 in MOA. I really like this scope and plan to put one on a .375 H&H. Currently here in the States it is on sale for almost $200. Great deal for a lot of scope. If you want something magnified check out the Nikon's BLACK Force1000 1-4x24 scope. Illuminated and still around $400 US. I have one on a pig gun and it is big fun to use as the sun sets.

    These are great, https://www.scopeuout.co.nz/products...ulti-x-reticle
good for close in and fare for reaching out. RainGuard works well when lens gets wet.
    Good cheap scope.

it annoys me in some of my other suppressed rifles in 3 power mag with low rings too. it was just really bad in 1 power on my AR
(Hi-Lux Optics Close Medium Range Scope (CMR) Illuminated Ranging Reticle 1-4x24) This was my scope if it makes any difference
