Or any thoughts on calibre?bullets hard to source,do they shoot well etc?
-
7.62 what? 7.62x51 is .308
-
Before you even think about firing it, work out if the cal is 7.62x39, x51, x54... etc Are there any stampings on the barrel?
-
The national arms factory in Argentina made high quality Mauser 98 type model 1909 rifles in 7.65 Arg. calibre. You can still get ammo for it. They are very good quality and the factory was set up through German assistance. Sometimes the rifles just have FMAP on the side.

Sporterised or still in original condition still should be worth a go

7.62 is all that's stamped on the barrel?! Apparently iv just been told that the owner puts 308 rounds through it...sound about right?still in original condition, although it could do with a good tidy up.is anyone familiar with the brand name?good/bad?
Thanks
