And the irony is that you only need fine accuracy with more than one shot in a small percentage of hunting situations. When I'm shooting for accuracy its two shots and walk to the target...600 yards away mostly.

You'd be surprised at what a well made thin barrel would do.

I shot my few few competitions and a few F Class rounds with a factory Tikka 260, 10+ round strings didn't effect accuracy much, or at all.

That being said the difference between a 223, 260, 308 and 7rem mag is vastly different.
