    Hi Tec Composites Carbon Stock

Took delivery yesterday of a new Hi-Tec Carbon Stock for my Sako Finnlight 85M.

Couldn't be happier with Hi-Tec's product. I have a couple of other carbon stocks including a Stug, which I have no complaints about at all, but the Hi-Tec has easily the best finish.

Hi-Tec also re-bedded the new Stock, and my Sako now feels "tighter".

Not getting paid for this - just thought I'd give credit where credit is due...

I rate my Hi Tec stock too! Great finish and solid feeling stock. Wish I could have tried one of stugs stocks though!

Is it similar in shape to the factory stock?

Mine is pretty similar to factory stock shape, however you can get them with a higher comb and more vertical grip.

Would be keen for one for my Sako 75 6.5 swede - got the older heavy plastic stock currently.

    It's in the works apparently...

+1 beautifully made and finished stocks. Good comb height too. Not as light as stug's old stocks though.

    Yes, very similar.

(Although as Liam says you can order them a bit different to the factory shape if you want)

is the finish just from the resin casting? like the carbon light no extra coating or epoxy added?

Its the process he uses using carbon cloth that is inpregnated (prepreg) with resin then baked...and just does a nice job of it.

@Dreamer are those leupold sako rings? I have a set and for the life of me was not able to get them to fit as the rear seems to cant with the dove tail.

Yes they are. These are older ones but I have the newer ones as well and have never had an issue personally.

    Cool thread fellas.
    Thanks for the info.
I have been considering a new stock for a bit now so by the sounds of things these are the go.
@Dreamer what is the stock model show in your picture please? I like the look of the grip contour and the higher combing. Cheers
