    Holographic Sights

I'm looking to get a decent holo sight to stick on my short 303 bushgun. Later I want to migrate to an AR platform and will probably go the 300 Blackout way for a bushstalking platform so I'd want to transfer it over to that as funds allow.

I hear that eotech have some probs and that red dot are good - could someone who owns one or has tried several give a balanced recommendation?

I'm looking to own a quality one that stands the test of time - 303 factory ammo out to 300/350m max but mostly under 100m range.

+1...I have a 'shortened' LE 303 bush gun as well, been thinking exactly the same thoughts (have an AR15 too)
While I might not be as good as I once was, Im as good once as I ever was!

Eotechs are designed for AR's, therefore you get a chin weld (if that) using them on other guns. They are very nice sights though, wide field of view.

Bushnell have a new affordable version of the aimpoint micro with a 3 moa dot. I think it is the TRS25. Could be worth trying before committing aimpoint dollars

Don't buy an Eotech, I have a 557 and it is a POS. Knocked its box off a shelf in my gun room before I even got it mounted on a rifle and now its dim as buggery totallyunusable.

Not worth the cost in fees (its a controlled export item) etc to send it back for repair. Now its just a very expensive paperweight

Thanks for the suggestions lads - $170 sounds hard to beat for an entry level - there's an aimpoint micro on Tardme at the moment for 1100 so I reckon I'll get a Bushnell and save up for an aimpoint later on

Thanks Brennos but I've followed your lead already and ordered one from the Optics Zone already - cheers for the offer

Interesting that other sites were like- "Oh, we need certificates to export that uh we won't move our ass til the govt says we're allowed to"
whereas Optics Zone were more- "Sweet, it's on its way"

In this digital age I expect the latter but it's rare enough to actually encounter.
