If you are ill, I wish you a speedy recovery. FWIW, I can satisfy my shooting needs with (A) a few old 6.5’s plus a Tikka in the same calibre. With handloads, I think I’m as accurate as the next guy, both on range and in field. (B) MyHowa .223 being 1:9 twists loves Belmont and Aussie Outback 55 grain out to 300m on a still day.I’m pretty happy with its performance though I’ve thought of selling Howa and going 1:8 heavy barrel with 77 grain Belmont Black. The only reason is both my son and grandson are taking goats at 300 and gonging at 700 yards with their Howa heavies sending 77 gr pills.. I kid you not!
I think we often have a ‘need’ for more, bigger, better, faster, shinier and such, but wisdom may suggest stick with two calibres only, such as I am trying to do.
