How to get your rifle to shoot less than MOA

As above.. Today I had very little to do so I took my recently bedded .270 BSA Majestic with Truflite Premium Barrel fitted by Gunworks to a trued action, never took my camera but the results were astounding!!! First I fired a 3 shot group which measured 1" and I thought "fuck that's piss poor" but after seeing on one these threads on the forum recently of a 1/4" sporting rifle, I thought I would have a go at matching that, so I fired 3 one shot groups and fuckme they were all under 1/4" and that is how you shoot 1/4" with a sporting rifle. So all you Guys that are getting 1/4" and less 3 shot groups consistently with your sporter barrel and 3-9 x 40 Nikko scope I say..........."FUCKING BULLSHIT" you are. That is benchrest accuracy!! and the majority of shooters cannot even get close to that kind of accuracy shooting off the bonnet of the truck or a rolled up shirt on the ground, so get real ya bullshittin' pricks.
I now await the flack from the bullshit brigade
    Today I am bored

Naaa Steve mate, is piss easy...

All you do is shoot a benchrest group at like 10m, then nek minute you move the target to 100 yds and start congratulating yourself on being such shit-hot shooter

No-one ever took me up on my challenge to shoot 5x 5 shot groups on the same bit of paper and see what the average was.

I find I get the smallest groups if I just don't shoot at all. The shot-to-shot deviation is non-existant.

Yup VC, no matter how much I try, just can't get the frigging 5 shot groups below .308

Maybe when I get a 22-250 things will improve

Depends what you are shooting for. To be a paper punching champion or drop an animal on the spot. A 1" group is good enough for me in the bush.

I was sighting in a new rifle and getting in acceptable results. Asked a mate if he wanted a shot. I couldn't see where his first shot went but he was laughing. He had headsot a bird off to the side

You'd think if people cared so much about ~*my submoa rifle*~ they'd be happy to spend the 28 bucks to actually test it to a vague degree of significance

So many 3 shot groups out of a hunting rifle with a 3 shot mag on many different days both clean and dirty cold and warm always measuring under half MOA at 100,200 and 300m is still not a "sub MOA rifle" cos I didnt shoot 5 x 5shot goups with it on the same day??? WTF would that prove?
That i have too much money and time?

And the only reason I even shot so many groups with it is cos I am so rich I have to musical chairs with scopes on rifles.

I personally think a 5 shot sub moa group is needless from a hunting rifle. I would also be very surprised, to see a dedicated hunting profiled barrel that could do 5 x 5 sub moa groups in a sitting as well.
You would expect it from a dedicated target rifle barrel maybe.
I reckon it would almost be a struggle to do 5 3 shot groups under an inch in one sitting, with a large rifle primed, centerfire.

I own one centerfire rifle, with several barrels. I am confident that as long as everything is done right, every one of those barrels can provide the accuracy required of it. I am the only weakness.
I get a buzz out of shooting little groups like anyone, but if you shoot enough your gunna have the odd doozy. Any muppet with good gear will eventually shoot a bughole when shooting paper.
Funny enough I still miss the odd deer. I missed a sitter a couple weeks ago, breaking an awesome run. I would happily shoot 2" groups for the rest of my life if I didnt miss anymore animals.
Do what ya want! Ya will anyway.

Simply: I don't care much about groups. For my purposes, beyond load development and zeroing, they don't tell me any information I need to know. Same for most hunters. So why do hunters insist on talking about their precision in groups measured to the third decimal place, but then refuse to spend 28 bucks to test it even remotely approaching properly, in a way that means they must be honest with themselves and others? Why is it even such a point of pride that it's bought up, and that people care about it? Groups aren't much use unless you're shooting in a competition, and if you are, you'd better be prepared to shoot enough of them to get a score. Why do we have people who are scared to fire a fourth shot "in case they ruin their group" ?? It's ridiculous.
