Simply: I don't care much about groups. For my purposes, beyond load development and zeroing, they don't tell me any information I need to know. Same for most hunters. So why do hunters insist on talking about their precision in groups measured to the third decimal place, but then refuse to spend 28 bucks to test it even remotely approaching properly, in a way that means they must be honest with themselves and others? Why is it even such a point of pride that it's bought up, and that people care about it? Groups aren't much use unless you're shooting in a competition, and if you are, you'd better be prepared to shoot enough of them to get a score. Why do we have people who are scared to fire a fourth shot "in case they ruin their group" ?? It's ridiculous.
