How many DPT 223 supressor modules?

Got a mk2 Dpt for the 223. It comes with 4 baffles as standard which is tha same as models for larger capacity cartridges . Was wondering is it worth removing some baffles to keep the length down a bit in the bush. Has anyone done this? Is there still noticable noise reduction with say 2 modules?

I've got the DPT mini overbarrel which came with 5 baffles, I removed 1 to reduce the length a bit and it works great.

I have the Muzzle forward with first stainless, I use the one stainless and 4 baffles .
I've set my 223 up as a varminter hence it's heavier all round and I don't mind the longer plane
If it was a walk about and was only going to use a shot or two a day I'd not have the stainless and take a baffle off.

So have I, but added two baffles! 300BLK/subsonic. I wanted Hollywood quiet. Haven't got it, but noise is acceptable.

I like my length but had thought of adding one or two, to see how much suppression improves...

Might have to take it up to the range and try different configurations and see what's acceptable. Have 20" barrel but feels too long with full suppressor, might think of docking it to 18"

I run a DPT (MK1) with just one baffle on my 20” Howa mini.

Works perfectly fine, which is to reduce muzzle blast to a level that doesn’t bother my ears.

That's the setup I am thinking of doing @Flyblown. Rifle is a super lightweight walkabout rifle so want to keep it handy. Even 1 baffle should be better for the dog and my ears compared to the 16" suppressed 308!

I have my howa mini barrel at 20” running the one less and find it handles great, it’s in one of Ken’s stocks though

I went the other way and added 3 extra baffles on my 223.
Tikka with a light carbon fibre stock and VX3 3.5-10x40.
Very noticeable improvement in sound suppression, but messes up the balance by making the rifle front heavy.
