Any takers?
Any takers?
Haha it's and not snd
I like their ammo prices but hate everything else, mate has got scopes on his guns from their packages that dont work. My shotgun came with a bent barrel but they fixed it. he just got a .300WM tikka package im hoping the suppressor and scope are going to be ok.
wow
Really? Dont shop there? I dont like coro street but I dont petition to get it removed

there ammo prices are drear its usually cheaper else where
i like coro
Apparently there is one born every minute and that is how places like it not only survive but thrive. I dont think its fair to take advantage of people who dont know better, but all you can really do is try not to be one of the "one every minute"
I agree and ive had my heated dbates with h+f over secondhand prices ect. This goes for anything retail......If you believe everything that they tell you and accept there prices as gospel without some research then you deserve what you get.

i agree with c death. just dont deal with them, go somewhere else. plenty of otherplaces out there doing it!:P
I kei te tika! just like a remote change or leave no one's forcing ya.
and those spandex wearing homos on 2 wheels that hog the road - NEED TO GO also
With the age of the internet anyone can check out all the big and small retailers and compare prices, freight etc. Can come on these sites and get some feed back. Check out their specials.
If you wander in to their store having not reserched a product and just buy on the advice of the salesperson then thats your hard luck. Ive only dealt with Auck G C and purchased over the phone may have paid a few dollars more but they were the only ones who had the product in stock.
Ammo sales pays to shop around too, even the pgg wrightsons stores are a distributor for fioccchi ammo (good quality) I also like to support a nz ammuntion coy. Belmont ammo have promt friendly service and there product always shoots well and accurate in my rifles. Sure not as good as hand loaded stuff but Consistent 1 '' groups and under $1.00 per round .223 im not complaining.
Tikka T3 Finlight
There is something good about Gun City. They have a huge range of things you wont necessarily get or see elsewhere due to their size.
When you do eventually see something you like, you can go in, handle it, then go get one ordered in to your local gun store for hundreds of dollars less :D
All the gun stores are in retail and are trying to clip the ticket. If you're pally with some guys at your local you'll find prices come down by themselves and you can still always bargain to get things lower. I can't remember the last time I paid full price for a rifle or scope.
If you pay anyone full price and you're not happy about it, guess who's fault that is :)
I wouldn't want them to close, they have their place and the fact that they have flooded the country with semi auto centerfires has to be good for future firearms law changes. They also parallel import a lot of stuff (e.g. Beretta Shotguns) and that pushes the other prices down.
I would prefer if they operated in a way that I didn't feel dirty whenever I buy something there (which isn't often).
I've had some crap experiences with H+F too ... One branch owner in particular who's in it for the coin and doesn't give a shit for his customers.
This thread would better serve the forum members if it were a more gen discussion on hunting stores.
They haven't done shit with semi auto centrefires, have you seen the prices they want for ARs? And the appalling quality of the ones they do sell? Thank Digit, rather, for bringing in some competition
They are an embarrassment
I'll often poke my nose into GC, but I'll only buy if it is a bargain. Like the ammo I got that was obviously under priced by $100 for 100 rounds.:P
I got gaps in my teeth Cleatus, but they not THAT small...
Lemmie know when you;re next out and I'll line you up with the Hilux and the horn, and see how much you continue to hog :D
What you talking smack for anyway.. you're far to fat and lazy to ride a bike nowadays.. but I bet that stretchy spandex still fits goooooood!
Talking smack = bored.... I agree that cyclists can behave like dicks, but we dont REALLY need to try and kill them do we? Its funny - I ride a bike and I still hate most cyclists :) They ride 3 abreast here, fucktards!
Spandex = I would probably need a 10L bucket of paint these days :o
Road hogs = you city slickers havent seen anything! When you have a massive header, towing a bin which is towing a ute (all with a gigantic weave on) going down a canty back road its just a case of take to the grass or sit there at 30 till you can turn off anywhere!
Gun city = there they are, in business and apparently doing well - must be doing something right? I guess you can go and buy a lot of nice gear straight off the shelf if you dont mind being reamed, I guess enough people dont mind being reamed?
Nothing wrong with a GOOD reaming!. Depends on whether your the reamer or reamed and can remember. Seriously everyone is trying to make a buck, big flash stores usually have big flash costs that they are trying to cover so they will try for what they can get. Guess you can try bargaining with them, the worst they can do is say NO and lose a sale which will hurt if enough people do it, but you have to let them have a chance to do a deal first.
gun city isn't a big flash store though, a vast amount of what they sell is terrible junk
I'd be happy to pay inflated prices for actual nice gear that was hard to get, but nothing they sell is rare or interesting
There is tons of absolute junk for sure - but they do have a good selection of TRG's, S&B's, McMillan 50 cal, flash shotguns, Desert eagles, AUG's blah blah blah sitting on the shelf if you want to pay their prices. I guess there are enough Oil Sheiks / Farmers / Strip club owners in CCH to buy them without even looking at the sticker price.
I hate the ugly logo, but I like their website. it is one of the best websites I have seen to look at large amounts of firearms for sale in Nz.
Fuck it just go hunting!.
Its still easier to navigate around looking at products then most.
yeah they "blacklisted" me when I helpfully pointed out that their product description wasn't for the product being advertised.
I have had good service an prices from them when I have got things from them so will continue to if the price right, no different to anyother outfit. They may have high prices on rifle set ups but offer finance to people to get them what they want to.
Have got 5 rifles 3 nightforces an a s an b off them that no1 else in nz would come close to price wise, also had a mate at chch 1 witch helped out that to. Its who you know:)
