CAC ammo from Auckland. Got probably 5-6 pretty tidy full packets of them. given to me by the next door neighbour years ago after the hubby died. used a few up before I realised they might be collectable. Maybe not.
seemed to work ok on possums

    $2.5 in 1970 is $40 in 2019. Is that for 50 or 500?

Good hunting 22LR is only $8~10-ish for 50 rounds. Standard target ammo is about the $6.5~8 for 50 rounds.

Ammo took a massive drop in price when GST first came about...I only remember as I needed some .22 ammo and the two prices were on display, the current price and what it would be under GST...it was well worth waiting a few days.

Jeepers I have two boxes like that. They were left overs from when I use to take Dads .22 to school for target shooting - that was 1974/75 and yes they have a target printed on the inside. Fired off a few a couple of weeks ago and they went off as they should.

I knew a guy who as part of a syndicate bought 250 k rounds of .22 from CAC when they closed down.

I asked him ;"What did you shoot with all that ammunition?"

His answer was both simple and profound : "Everything".
