So I have to remove a rail that has been glued or locktited on what's the best method, as the screws are so dam tight.
Can I apply a little heat or what.

Hammer and a screwdriver (unless you have a cold chisel) will work, eventually......... if you are in a hurry you could take the screws out first, a drill will work there
