Thread: Howa 1100 in 22/WMR/17HMR.. anyone own one?

Looking at a little Howa 1100 in poss 22WMR or 17HMR. Don't really need one but when did that ever stop us...

Interesting little rifle. Played with one in 22LR today at H&F and not convinced by fat pistol grip but could get used to that. (Or hone the plastic to shape?? :). Pair of 10 shot mags with it. Thinking more of 22WMR or 17HMR.

Has anyone owned and/or range tested one? Generally quite good accuracy reports for 22LR - sub 0.5" at best - but haven't seen anything on WMR or HMR. Rimfirecentral comment a little bit mixed - mostly good but occasional cycling issue which could be ammo choice.

The mags are the issue, local had some in and I bought one but ended up returning it. Tried new magazines and all the rifles he had in stock did the same thing, failure to feed. He returned them to the wholesaler and hasn't sold them since. Pretty rough machining on the metal too.

Hmmm...rifle not going to perform well with no rounds up the spout!

Ive got one in 22LR. Had no issues with it at all. Shoots strait, functions perfectly.

The bolt was is little rough in the beginning but quickly got better. My oldest boy loves shooting it and even went bunny hunting with me, shooting it.
