I took some Magpul Ranger tabs left over from my AR15 days, and chopped them about a bit.

Protects the catch from being bumped and still flexible enough to get a finger inside to hit the release when it's actually time.
I used a ar finger stop from a rail on mine just about identical look but no flex
I've just come in from resiting and trimming mine back hard so that the whole thing is now about 20mm long instead of what it was.
It's far shorter, and does pretty much the same job.
A finger stop rail would probably work better actually.
Either way, no worries about inadvertently dumping a full mag in the long grass now.
