So who is using, has experience with the Howa Alpine rifle?, looking at a possible deal on one but don't know much about them yet

Had one in .308 for a year now, just chopped and suppressed it.
What's not to like? great stock with limbsaver, cerakoted, lightweight, accurate.
Carried mine around the bush for 3 full days in November and forgot it was there a few times.
Made a big difference to lugging the ZKK around.
Only shot 1 deer with it so far.
I would highly recommend it.

I like the look of them as well. I was wondering what the consistant accuracy would be like with that light barrel. What calibre you looking at @257weatherby ?
@H&K MAN has one and he seems to be rather pleased with his... Good looking rifle and certainly capable...

I've always had a hankering for the. 6.5 creedmoor model.
There is the alpine and the ranchland models. One has a slightly lighter profile barrel from memory. I have a few ranchland actions (and stocks) still. Very capable actions. There is also more than 7mm08 and 243 out there. 6.5x55 has a lot of potential but the longer action is slightly heavier.
