    Howa mini .223

    Hi All
    Looking at .223 options at the moment anyone got or had a look at the new Howa mini ??

    Yes. Had a few in my hands. Very cute little action. Can't wait for 7,62x39 version, or better a 6,5 Grendel !

    Only downside is the stupid place to put the extended mag release. Very prone to getting bumped and the mag drops out.
    I know of someone that has got some string attached to his mag so if he bumps the release he won't loose the mag.

    When there are enough of those small actions around, there will be nicer after market part them...I could well see pacific tool build an alloy bottom metal for them .

    No doubt this is true. Though if you really want the 223 without the box mag there is the Zastava M85 and the Howa Med action 223......The Zastava is a nice wee gun. CZ make a nive one too but it has the sticky outy mag too.

    Sweet wee gun shoots great, nice & light as said be wary of the mag falling out ,going to cut the mag release down on mine so it's not so easy to release mag
