Thread: Howa stocks

Does anyone know for sure which sako stocks a LA Howa 1500 will fit? I think they fit into vanguard stocks but no one has any easily available at the moment.
Google just confused me with different places saying different models will or won't fit etc.

Yep, Howa LA fit the Vanguard LA stocks, not sure if any sako stocks will fit, think the design was altered slightly but they are based on the sako design.
I have a synthetic vanguard LA stock if you want it.

They should fit the older Sako long action (270, 30/06 etc) stocks, AIII I think. I have a wooden Sako LA stock here you can have if you like.

Yep. They fit nicely in a Sako 75 stock. Have done two so far. But I use a Howa inlet not the Sako 75

$595 with a 0.5" Pachmayr or $635 with a Limbsaver + freight. That includes bedding your rifle into the stock plus sling studs.

I haven't made one for a winchester yet. I've made a couple of Model 7. The model 7 can be made very light about 470g, 16-17 oz. Price is the same as earlier post
