Not sure that's going to be an improvement.
they have walnut stocks that you could bed to see a decent shift in a "more stable" platform.
Or ask in the buy & sell for one of Stugs carbon versions.
Improvement in what way? weight, slimmer stock? stiffness.
That stock looks cool, but you may need to ask the retailer for more info by the looks. I'm in the market for slimmer and lighter stock for my 223 mini action.
As far I can tell that's just a Hogue stock with a trademarked camo pattern on it.
What improvement are you looking for? Better grouping? Less weight? Stiffer foreend?
The Hogue stock can be improved significantly by stiffening the foreend with epoxy and perhaps carbon arrow shafts. Bedding the action makes it super consistent and will let it shoot as well as it possibly can.
If you're looking to reduce weight then you need to spend money - Ken Henderson who makes Hi-Tec stocks may well be finalising a model to fit. He does have one ready to fit the Mini @ROKTOY
Scratch together some pennies, have a dig behind the couch if necessary and consider one of these: https://broncos.co.nz/hunting/gun-pa...n-black-pepper
I've got one that I put a 223 with lightweight action/barrel into and it's superb. Brilliant light sporter style stock. It has a nice slim wrist and foreend. Also not as wide through the magazine area so sits in the hand better than the Hogue I have on my other rifle. Potential downsides are that the foreend is shorter than a full size stock (like a Model7) so a bipod will sit that bit closer if you use one. The aluminium bedding blocks may or may not let your action 'drop-in'. I had to spend a bit of time removing overspray and the like out of the recoil lug area and the start of the barrel channel. If it does drop in and shoot on the factory blocks then that's great. I'm going to use the blocks like pillars bit relieve most of them and bed the action in place. Mine wants to sit with the barrel sitting off to the right - I suspect the alignment of the block isn't just so. The flat bottom nature of this action does mean the block has to be absolutely spot on, unlike the drop-ins for Tikkas and Remington's with their round bottom - more forgiving.
In fairness to the stock it is really nice in most aspects, but bedding the recoil lug and tang may be something you need to do to make it perfect. As a bonus bedding the recoil lug and the start of the barrel parallel section will also stop crap getting in under the barrel and lug like I found when I pulled mine apart after just one hunt.
Message from Ken at Hi-Tec today: We have a Hunter model only it will suit both the S/A and the mini just waiting for the final inletting for the S/A the mini is available. At this point no tactical model.
The Hi-Tec are 995 I believe. The other option is the HS Precision which Bronco's also has in stock at 799.
Yep get a Ken H stock!

It's terrible having all these choices now...
Did you get your action bedded to the stock by Ken, bedded it yourself or just bolted it together? I don't suppose you have any pictures of the bedding to post?
I should go take some of the Alpine stock and put them here to really make this thread useful to the OP and others desperate to hand over some cash
Damn that's nice.
