    Hunting with a reflex/red dot

Does anyone here use a red dot / reflex sight for hunting deer sized game?
I'm looking at a Docter or vortex 3 moa sight (not the tube ones) instead of iron sights.
It's for a 308 where ranges would be well under 100m.

(Yes Jim I'm gonna get the gunsmith to drill and tap the poor Brno's recover, right through the stamped part :p )
