Thread: I bought a 7mm Rem Mag

Many moons ago when I was starting out hunting I owned a series of sporterised service rifles. Having fired hundreds of rounds of .270 as a kid on a friends farm I had a terrible flinch, which the lightened, short barreled 30 cals only enhanced. With the help of some gentleman from NZs hunting forum scene, I got some shooting lessons and a chance to try some real hunting rifles. I lusted after a guys stainless/laminate M77 25-06 and I found 7mm Magnum was not so bad to shoot, and I wanted to hunt Tahr more than anything so I spent all day gazing at Stainless/Laminate Ruger M77s in 7mm Rem Mag.

This morning I bought one for $600 of Trademe.. I felt the need to post here because my wife could care less about my guns. https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Lis...?id=1949995725

What the hell? What happened to second hand rifle prices? Did I steal this or is it just what they go for these days?
