Thanks guys, I might look at the Leupold's Yosimites... probably going to stay around the $200 range for now as I need to get some other things, and some will be better than nothing I guess.

Yukon Futurus 8x40WA — FOCO-OPTIK
Take look at these, includes money back guarantee if not satisfied.
Whats the eye relief like with these?
Do I have to smush then into my eyeballs like the Yukon spotting scope, or are they a little more comfortable than that? I wasn't disappointed with the spotting scopes optics so I hope the binos are as good
Could be quite keen in a few days![]()
I purchased a pair of Leica Tripod 10X42 in 1995 they have seen their share of use. Cant remember the exact price but it was around $3000 I think. Couldn't really afford them and got into a bit of strife from her indoors.
Sent then off to Lackland 5 weeks ago to get focus fixed they forward them onto Leica in Germany.
I now have them back and the Binos were repaired and FULLY refurbished at N/C. They look just like a brand new pair.
I now think the original purchase price was well worth it.
I suggest you buy the best quality glasses from an established manufacturer who has a proven reputation of supporting their products and customers.
The Yukon Futurus 8x40 have good eye relief, nice clear edge to edge image, rubber armoured aluminium chassis makes them pretty tough. I'll give a set to VietnamCam to take a look at on the forum hunt if he is keen, then you won't need to take my word for it.
We also give a 15% discount to forum members, and a 10 day satisfaction money back guarentee. What more do I need to do?...![]()
Hi @GMH72. I have a pair of Olymups 10 x 25 WP2 waterproof binoculars that are surplus to requirements.
They are brand new in box with case and strap. Light weight and the optics seem very good.
RRP in NZ is $249 but you can have them for $120. PM me if you are interested.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.
So how are you getting on here? I have been on the lookout to. At the mo looking at the Bushnell Legend, Leupold Cascade or Acadia now the Vortex... either 10x42 or 8x42??? I seem to bounce all over the place on this subject and not really gain any traction... Its good to hear what others are using in NZ especially.
Alright, so went and checked out a few binos today and I may have to spend moreThe ones I was thinking, the Yosimites 8 x 30 and Bushnell 8 x 32 Trophy didn't quite feel right.... tried the Bushnell Trophy 8x42 and they seemed better to me, picked up some Leupold Cascades but don't think the budget will go quite that far... what are peoples thoughts about the Bushnell Trophy 8x42 or a better option around the $300 mark... thanks
Sell your holdenCant get up them tracks in it anyway
