An L1 ( FN, R1) in original form has to be one of the most desirable military rifles. Accurate, penetrates most cover in bushy conditions and with moderate recoil if dialed in right and is far more accurate than most soldiers can aim it. I would suspect that a nice black one would be starting to become a rarity? I handed mine back in the early '90s with a heavy heart. Restore the old war horse would be my advice.
