Thread: Identifying a Mauser M12

I've recently acquired a used Mauser M12 but have been unable to determine what model M12 it is. The rifle is about 10 years old with a synthetic stock (that has been repainted). How would I go about identifying more clearly what model Mauser M12 it is? I think the serial number is MC005474 (see attached image). It's chambered in 6.5x55.

Mauser m12 impact. Has the extreme stock I think but has custom paint by the looks of it. Lovely gun mate.

Thanks for this info, MCCPRO, I'll be taking it to the range this weekend to check its accuracy. Agree - it's a lovely gun and the custom paint has been well done.

That is indeed where I got the rifle. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for - an M12 in 6.5x55. Came with a moderator, sling and Mauser bag, too. Very 😃

I was watching and watching and watching this on trademe, glad someone got a bargain!
