    It sounds like the 6.5x55 is the latest fashion accessory. Lacks a bit of top end grunt to be a universal NZ calibre in my book. I've used the calibre plenty.

    If I was limited to one rifle, I would go for a bolt action 280 with a 22" barrel. 120-160grn projectiles. Top end grunt. Handy enough in the bush. It would do me for NZ and overseas.
