Ok, R93 with 2 barrels .260imp and a .280imp or 7mmsaum would suit everything I would hunt. I only want a whitetail, moose and bighorn ram from overseas.

I'd love to hunt some places in the US. Looks spectacular. Rockies, Alaska, etc.
I have a STW and with it i have shot rabbits, hares, possums, magpies, sheep, goats, pigs, cattle, fallow deer, red deer and a parry [after what we had paid for the trip it was worth the bullet just to get rid of the honking bastard from the valley]...more bullet than what was needed for most of them, but boy it was fun...never had occassion to take it overseas but I imagine it would give a good account for itself on many species of game.
Me dave abe an smiddy will have one each and we will just share :)
Well if money is no object, either a Sako TRG or an AIAW/AX or if we want to be a bit saner (cheaper) a Barnard action custom, cause its NZ made.
:D
The only hard bit is 308win or 338lapuaMag.
If its hunting and world wide I'd need stopping power I guess so Im going for the 338lapuaMag

If we talk what I could reasonably afford out of my own pocket, the dream rifle I want one day to own and pass to my son is a Sako stainless 85 in 308win, since I love wood, a wooden stock is a must.
SAKO 85 Varmint Laminated Stainless
Though I'd drool over one of these,

I'd just go the humble 223, or maybe 243, for NZ for what I want to hunt. If it's something too far away for the shot then I'd use my boots some more.
6.5x55 NZ
.375 H&H WW
Another factor I have been mulling over is ammo and projectile availability, for that reason I might change my NZ calibre to .308, close race though!
I would go with my 7-375R for nz game :)
and world wide Sako Kodiak in 416rby
It sounds like the 6.5x55 is the latest fashion accessory. :) Lacks a bit of top end grunt to be a universal NZ calibre in my book. I've used the calibre plenty.
If I was limited to one rifle, I would go for a bolt action 280 with a 22" barrel. 120-160grn projectiles. Top end grunt. Handy enough in the bush. It would do me for NZ and overseas.
