Hi I imported my Desert Tec barrel / bolt kits pretty straight forward although the guy sending them did the USA side you need someone who's willing to do the paperwork I assume the fees for export were in the purchase price.

UK exports are pretty straight forward as well again you need some one in UK prepared to apply for the free personal export license in UK.

In either case you need to fill in an end users declaration sign it and send it to the person applying for the export license again pretty straightforward.

For a personal import if its over $ 400.00 inclusive of shipping you pay something like $ 40.00 administration fee and then 15% GST.

As a personal export of any goods from Europe you do not pay up to 20% VAT UK (GST) so a 20% saving right there.
