    Importing eotech

    Have any of you imported any eotechs into nz? Ive got a 512 sitting in auckland customs awaiting clearance. They want my money i assume. But how much? Payed 560 nzd to get it landed. 60 was for frieght. So 500 kiwi. It sucks you gota pay a levy and gst. Any help guys?

    I think you pay gst on the shipping as well. Plus a broker fee. Probably looking at ~160?

    Still much cheaper than local price I imagine...

    Unbeliveable. Shipping? Thats crazy. Why dont people pay anything on goods they bring home from overseas holidays? Its close. Wont really be saving a huge amount. 800 new.

    Thats why on the customs form when reentering NZ they ask if you have goods purchased overseas over the value of $XXX
    If you do - you pay gst and duty on them

    I brought in a leopled VX-3 4.5-14X40 CDX last year, cost me $160 in duty, but was still well worth it....

    I contacted Eotech a few years back but had to buy thru NZ agent. To save hassle bought it and shoved it on the A2.They are a sweet item once you get the hand of it.

    Paid a little under $650 + Customs....not sure if it was a good deal but very happy with it.

    I've got three EOTEC 512's at home, scored these from my time over seas, they all in used states but all working spot on, PM me if anyones keen not really looking to sell but only really need one as I just brought home my ACOG compact TA39-2 with yellow Triangle Reticle Pattern for the HRE AR15

    560 nzd to get the 512 landed. 120 bucks gst payed to customs. Sting. 680 not to bad. But you can get em for 800 and you get it that day. Oh well. Lesson learned! Love the eotech tho. Its great
