    Importing FN FAL receivers?

    Hi,
interested in importing some FN FAL receivers. Can this be done on a C cat or does it need to be done on a D?

Are they going to be used for a functional shooter? The problem i see is if they are Fal recievers, then the upper will have a sear cut in it. And with the right parts it can be capable of full auto. I dont think the police would allow it in even though our armys slr's were sold off to us civvys with the same cut in the uppers. If bought in on a collectors endorsment then there shouldnt be a problem but you wont be allowed to shoot it anyway.

On second thought, the yanks have a bunch of post ban made fal recievers floating around made by various manufacture's without sear cuts. If you could get one of them in then it probably just has to pass the police armourers inspection to be approved. Or you could just buy one of the many slr's that pop up around the country.

It will depend on which action you want .The semi only I can foresee no problems???? because it will be A Cat.As for the selective fire action there is a good question.
The Aus. actions were from the L2A2 and so had the safety sear which should not be there on the semi action because it is not really needed.
