Thread: Importing rifle from Aus

Ive found a nice rifle in australia. Ive imported a rifle before but GST, customs brokerage and shipping mounts up to $1000's.

Is anyone aware if an Australian can purchase said rifle, then come over to NZ with it and sell it to me?

The paperwork side is easy done that plenty of times just wondering from the aussies end if it causes trouble not going back with the rifle.

That is the other option, I’ve heard possible if the Aussie owner takes to airport and checks it in for you, but no confirmation of that

I have had them brought over by visiting Aussie shooters. It is a bit of a bureaucratic drag even then but much cheaper in the end. It took 18 months but I got there in the end.
