    Importing Timney triggers

Just wondering if any of you guys have had any luck importing a timney trigger from the US? If yes, from who? Any help would be appreciated.

Everyone seems to use Brownells....keep it below about $250US so its less than $400NZ incl postage and you shouldn't be asked to pay GST by NZ Customs.

Yes just contacted brownells and they said they can expoft it if the value is less than $100, otherwise I would need a export permit. My luck the trigger is $125.

Via Brownells the US export permit will cost about $10US I think, postage in USD on top as well mind.

Strange, my AO says import permits are not needed, anyway good for for you.

This is what I have done (if others know better, speak up pls as I have only just started to do this myself). Go to Brownells, click on "available outside of the USA" select part and buy it, the order say waiting and then will go on hold. You will need to fill in 2 forms. Here they are,

    DSP83 form, 930.pdfEnd User Statement II.pdf

"NONTRANSFER AND USE CERTIFICATE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA"

    Leave,

    6. Certification of foreign consignee" as not applicable (you are getting the parts directly)

    and

"8. Certification of foreign government" leave blank.

Write up a purchase order with a delivery address on it and hand sign it.

Contact International orders at Brownells and ask what to do. Sandy should say fill in the 2 forms above plus send a signed purchase order via airmail to me.

You will need to airmail post these to Brownells, it will take a month (ish).

DSP-83, End User Statement, Purchase order and a certified copy of your import permit.

Fill out sections 3, 4, 5 and 7. Leave the rest blank.

    End user statement

For 'End Use' write, 'These parts will be used by myself for personal use in (insert activity) within New Zealand', or something to this effect.

    (date)

    To Suppler:

What is the cost of an export permit?
Or does it depend on the cost of what you are buying?
