    As others have said, get a permit. Takes at least 4 weeks , more if you're not lucky.
    DON'T have it sent to you until you do as you risk having it confiscated and destroyed if it arrives here before your permit has been issued
    When it arrives, Customs send you a letter and you have to forward a copy of the permit to them.
    THEN, work out how you are going to collect it from the Custom's Depot near ( NOT AT) Auckland airport as Customs will not forward it to you.
    Then advise Constable Plod that you have collected it.
