Info wanted on .303
I'm looking at selling this .303 on behalf of my brother who is currently overseas. I think he purchased it a fair while back, and added some of the stock parts from another .303. Unsure if it's been fired in recent times (not by me anyway). Seems in functional order - although not sure how aperture sight connects.
To those who are knowledgeable in these f/arms - what might be a rough idea of value?

Without knowing the barrel condition, its hard to say.
Judging by the target sight and the fact its had the normal rear sight removed and the woodwork modified for that purpose, it might have been a target rifle.
Can you post a pic with a 303 round pointed in down the barrel from the muzzle?

For reference I paid 600 or so for a no1mk3 with a rooted barrel. it was almost a smooth bore, it was that worn.

I assume this what you mean @dogmatix? I'll plan to give it a clean and look down the barrel with my budget borescope when I get a chance.

Yep. Lots of rifling left in that barrel.
Prices for 303s has come down from the post 2019 buy-back $ cashed up buyers period.
IMO give its non matched state, missing parts (easy to replace), but seemingly good barrel, around $850-$900 top end.
However this time of year is terrible for getting a good price selling guns. No one has any money after xmas.
So you might get only $750-$800 currently.
