    Insurance - Firearms and Collectibles

Hi. Does anyone have advice on how to insure my firearms and militaria collection? Is there a company in NZ that is akin to these kind of items?

Interested to know what the limit is per Item. Most policies seem to be arround $1500 per Item
I would like to insure mine properly but even the guys at Crombie Lockwood(who we insure everything else with) could not really help yet

    Fmg.
$5000 for sporting goods. After talking to them, as a scope was added and didn't come as part of the rifle $5000 for that too. Even if it's attached.
I've questioned this a couple of times and they said it's correct. So up to 10k for rifle.

Photograph and catalogue them also assign values if any of the items are worth more than the default value on your policy. A valuation may be needed in some cases as well to support this.

Call me sceptical but surely the less people the better that have access to your name, address and a list of your firearms is in your best interest.

True, but I wanted to be well covered in case the worst happened. I declined the police offer to list when they did my renewal, for that reason.

I would check there going to pay what your asking, it seems they pay market value on sporting goods. As in second hand price.
