I thought this would qualify on looks alone but I fear that at 20in the barrel is too long to qualify. Accurate to 50 feet...

Probably one of the original factory bush guns that was desighned for the particular purpose would of been the jungle carbine.
Ruger compact springs to mind as well
I started the treat as a bit of a piss take and some cheer me up banter, Both have been successful.
But you are right, A bit of banter and a good shit chat makes the world better. It's the same use of banter that sharpened the Kiwi wit and vernacular that has created the terms like Bishpig I suppose haha.
When I was a young fella a "bush pig" was generally the result of too many refreshments at the rugby club and then waking up in the morning next to a not so flash looking female
Gkp big fat ugly girls need loving to and you could be just the man
I might have to get myself a suppressed short barrelled rifle and call it a bushpig, just to rile up some of you older fellas haha
I have one but made well before the term bush pig came around and yes it is suppressed came with a 18 1/2 barrel circa 1975
So to clarify It's the suppressor that tips a carbine over into being a Bush Pig ?
yes would seem that way say carbine to me and I see a Winchester 1890 something in a saddle scabbard on a horse
So now you have a bushpig ? :XD:
In the old days, back before ww2, the Winchester 92 carbine in .44/40 was known as a 'bush carbine'.
So at what length does a rifle become classified as a bushpig? 16"? 18" surely not....

The old cullers using a cut down sporter 303 certainly were at the fore front of this type of rifle. A good example is seen in Mike Bennetts book.
ya can call it anything but NEVER call ME late for breakfast .really all this sargument over a name ...frankly DILLIGAF
Steady. You don't know what you are arousing there :) :)
It appears to me that almost every comment from "an older person" in this thread has been tongue in cheek (save for the most serious of souls). A bit of fun. Levity tinged with cynicism perhaps.
While on the other hand the majority of other comment reflects what might be expected from what I call, the ummm, "offended generation". You know. Disassociated from reality through technology but needing to defend propositions.
:) :)
Hopefully the comment is taken in the vein that it was intended, as just a bit of fun.
Mussst Ressistt!
Haha thanks Tahr, I hope i meet you one day soon

Actually just realised that the modern generation probably don't realise how much fun was to be had in taking the piss out of 243 owners. The Creedmore seems to have soaked all that and more up.
You have no idea what this thread is about do you?
A bush pig would not be in that setting. And I'd pretty much guarantee that with hair that colour it doesn't have a suppressor.
Although I must admit I don't know which category I fall in to under Tahrs criteria. I thought my comments were tongue in cheek, but I'm not old. I just look and feel old.
1964 wasn't that long ago.
