I've had a pair of 10x42's for about 8 years and never had any trouble with them.

I have a pair of the 10x ones and my father has a pair of the 8x32s. We are pleased with both

Swarovski did buy the Kahles company to obtain its phase coating technology (necessary for roof prism telescopes)! Year by year, the optics in a Swarovski binocular (telescope) and a Kahles binocular should be pretty much the same, in my opinion, allowing for overlap of production updates.

Don't know about the swaro's but Leica is a bit better.
