    KG Cleaning products

I simultaneously ran out of KG-1 Carbon remover and KG-12 copper remover. I was able to order some new KG-12 online no problems but googling around I could not find anywhere obvious in NZ with KG-1 in stock.

Can anyone suggest a place that does online orders that might have some? Alternatively what other good carbon removers would you suggest? I have Slip 2000 carbon killer but I don't think it works as well as KG-1.

Can't help with KG1 suggestions, but I have another. KG2, the bore polisher, is a possibility. Usually I use this to remove stubborn copper, which it does brilliantly. Of course it removes carbon also. The claim is it doesn't remove any bore metal and while I have no reason to not believe this I still use KG2 sparingly. Targeting copper my usual method is to apply KG2 to a soft bronze brush, stroke through the bore 20 - 25 times ( 0nce through = stroke 1, pulled back through = stroke 2 ), wipe out with 2 or 3 dry patches, then a patch wetted with meths floowed by a drying patch, then borescope to see what remains. If any copper remains I repeat the procedure. Never had to do more than this to get a bore back to clean metal. It does polish the bore. You can run a dry patch through after a clean up and feel how smoothly it moves down the bore.
    Anyway, hope that helps.

KG bore polish as above works really well. I also use boretech eliminator for carbon/copper removal.
