Really cool stuff, great to see
Once anodised, the galvanic reaction will be greatly reduced. Coated with green loctite, it will help to reduce it a bit more again.
I havnt read through 25 pages but is there a folding mechanism available?
Rob: I think the QD pocket should handle the wear and tear if anodized correctly fallback could be 7075 insert or whole piece
@Jake77I went with the contrast colour for the most recent hunt. Incredibly accurate rifle.

So great to see people out there enjoying these lightweights. Great to see the improvements Rob has made to them too!
Makes all those late nights worth it for me
We appreciated all your efforts @Wingman and Rob. Mine is an absolute pleasure to carry but still exploring sight options. Just waiting for mounts for the VX- Hog but I did like the red-dot. Just felt I was lacking in a bit of magnification.
I've been experimenting with more specific shot placement now that I'm getting more familiar with it. These pictures are from a walk last week. 73gr ELD-M at 120m. I think I'm ready to go hunting deer with it now.

Hi Wingman
like what you have done on the above 300 B/Out
may i ask what dia is the outer carbon tube
Cheers
Hi Thanks for that ,
the C/F tube is really just dress up then.
Looks cool as Mate
Yeah mainly cosmetic. Some 3mm Carbon tube would cope fine with subs for a good while but the heat and flame cutting of supers would kill it. CF also breaks down in UV over time so not a fan of carbon suppressors personally.
That S&B is pretty sweet @Wingman
What model and ret is it?
Great looking bipod, looks right at home on the ultralight!
Just an observation, I see you and some others are using the super low Talleys/Nikko one piece rings amd removing your cheek rest to get low enough for a good sight picture,
You can spin the cheek rest mounting clamp upside down which allows the carbon cheek rest to drop right onto the tube to give a wider more comfy cheek weld without any additional hight.
Thanks @Wingman yeah the bipod is an awesome match. Works well. Yeah the check rest and low rings work great for the kids but I struggle to get low enough with my glasses on. I just whipped it off for this mission but I'll look at doing what you mention. Cheers!
Can you advise a contact for sourcing the stock knuckle?
A late comer, Scope to be mounted.

Now with a 1-6 LPVO.
Rob has done a great done. @robhughes-games
Do these have an ARCA swiss rail machined into the forend area?
I have a design done up for one. It's a fair bit more machine work.

I'd buy that.
Going to be a lot prettier and more functional that what I'm running currently.

I had a look at how the grey birch chassis addresses putting in a arca rail, and their approach appears to be more of a slotting operation on the side of the forend. Still very secure when attaching the bipod or tripod.
Obviously requires the forend to be widened.
