Settled on this basic configuration at this stage. Will add a couple of minor bits and pieces but as it stands , it’s perfect. All up it weighs in at 2.5kg and balances beautifully. Wasn’t sure about the red dot initially, as I’ve had no experience with them, but on the red cross setting, despite a bit of aberration with my dodgy right eye, both eyes open I don’t even notice. Radically different to anything I’ve ever shot before and a world away from my BSA P14 project.
Any suggestions on sighting in would be appreciated.
Cheers all.

Deadline for refund been and gone, managed to get dave on the phone this afternoon as a last ditch effort to get my money back & he just proceeded to belittle me, laugh at me & try swing it around like im the one in the wrong, then throw wingman under the bus. Never in my life have i experienced such shocking customer service & unprofessionalism. Now the hassle of disputes tribunal & all that entails to attempt to recover some cost.
Admins can delete this post or ban me if they want beyond giving a crap at this point, people deserve to know what this guy is really like. Its a shame that more people havent spoken up about this sorta stuff earlier, i may have been able to avoid all this if i had known better but it appears most that were unhappy with daves service have failed to speak of it on here or leave honest reviews on any online platforms. If your wanting one of these rifles i strongly recommend you steer clear of Dave & Shooter Ready, get in contact directly with robhughes-games on here.
Hmmm. Nervous
It’s taken quite a while and a lot of searching for a suitably sized compact hardcase for the Mini. There’s a gap in internal sizing around the 600mm length. Usually cases top out at 245mm then jump to 700+ or they’re too bulky. Success came from a NZ Airsoft website and at $130.00 delivered, it’s just right.
An ideal job for an average Sunday mucking around with fitment.

Certainly makes it look like a pistol
Certainly makes it a pistol you mean…..

Go on, don’t hold back. Hate for ya to blow a valve. I’m always up for some input and I don’t suffer hurty feelings syndrome.
Right, just for clarification, it seems that I fixated on the flashy orange compact carry case that Wingman posted a photo of and coupled with the perfect little modular bush gun, I thought all my Christmas’s had come at once. I’ve just gone back to the early part of this thread that bought up the whole discussion on legal length and thoroughly reread Wingman’s reply on the subject. As usual the devil is in the detail. I either missed or forgot the part where he mentioned the takeoff barrel mod which allows you to legally reduce the rifle under 762mm as it negates the ability to discharge the firearm. I was aware that I couldn’t have a folding stock but somehow got it in my head that all was good as the stock required tools to remove and so could break it down for transport.Best not chucked in a pack like that either it would seem.
Ah well, something for another time and back to where I started at this stage. The mods can remove the photo if they so desire but I’m okay with it staying up as it’s a demonstrable lesson in what not to do.
Cheers all.
Hi just dont panic Mr Mannering
wait for Wingman to start his sales of the Takedown option .. then you have a case already just have to rearrange some blocks
You have done well with your assembly of the above noise tube in a smart case ..
Cheers to all
Yes, thanks, was exactly where my head went to and I’m very happy with the result so far. Just got so in-grossed with getting everything down to the size I envisioned that I missed an obvious issue.
Youd be ok if somehow the pistol grip and trigger mechanism came off with the butt stock?
Hi Wingman i found an unloved Elude Howa mini chassis @ my second home [WILSONS Hunting etc ]
decided to fit it to the 300 Blackout .This is fitted with a Timney trigger and im having clearance problems
the front of the trigger binds as it goes through the chassis and the safety lever gets all locked up so it wont move
i can do the adjustment to get it fitting myself but just wondered if this problem has come up before
No problem with my 223 with the modded factory trigger
Cheers
Hi mate. Glad someone grabbed that stock. I'm.the guy making them, so I need to alter the model. I'm cutting some now so could you send me pics ect and I'll fix it. Attachment 235283
Attachment 235305 all good just a splash of paint to tart up
Hi, perhaps you could point me in the right direction. I'm after one of these chassis's and a .223 mini-action to go in it. No luck with searches so far. Does Wingman still put these together and are you manufacturing the Chassis still. If so who do I make contact with? cheers
I have received my chassis from Rob last Friday. So far I am really pleased with it. Just took it to the range and shoot a sub 1/2 inch group with my 223. The chassis is really well made and very light weight. The only thing I need to point out is that if you use a rear bag the the rear stock does not work well. See the photo attached. Otherwise I really can't fault anything so far. Thanks Rob and wingman for the excellent product!

Good stuff mate, glad you are happy with it. If you find yourself shooting of a bag often give Rob a yell and grab a rider for it. It screws into the accessory port in the bottom of the stock.
I fit mine up for load development or sighting in but the remove it and fit a QD cup for a sling when hunting.

Has anyone purchased one around Feilding/taihape area that would be happy for me to have a look at? Save me a 9 hour round trip to Cambridge. Cheers guys

A couple live @ our place in Wanganui very happy with mine cheers
My Elude out doing Elude things. Have owned it quite a while now and it is by a country mile the best bush setup I have ever used. It currently has my Pard thermal scope on top but I have a small Leupold 1.5-5x20 that normally lives there. Video in the link is my son head shooting a small goat at 225m, which is a pretty good effort given its a low magnification and old tech thermal scope! You can only just see the tiny black dot of the goat fall down on the opposite hill.

For all those with chassis and those that want them.
Have the bag riders done up. Come in at 30grams with the need cap screw. $60+postAttachment 245272
Anyone put a folding stock on one of these? Sourced a 1913 folding stock adapter anywhere? Keeping a longer barrel & having a lightweight folding stock sounds vaguely appealing
Ive go some of the Sig pistol brace folding stocks havent offloaded yet
It's on the list of things to design...
I remember there was talk about a take down version? where is that at?
Current legislation and their interpretation sadly limits the usefullness of folding stocks...
I've fitted quite a few for customers. Ken's Sig stock knuckles can be fitted to the std elude stock.

A rifle can be as small and compact as you like if it is disassembled to the point it can't be fired when it measures anything less than 762cm.
With the barrel off it is just "rifle parts". The law is written to combat the easy concealment of a usable firearm
I did all the legal research and got Police advise at the time of designing the takedown. A quick release butt stock got the big "no can do".. it needed to incorporate the use for tools to remove the stock and the barrel has to be removed first.
