Thread: Krico 22lr model and year

Could anyone help? And tell me the model and date of my Krico 22lr. The bolt that is shown with the rifle won't fit would anyone have a correct bolt.

@Nzcoup1 The bolt is from a 50's - early 60's model 300, same as what I have. The rifle looks later, maybe 70's onwards as it has the diecast trigger guard. Is there a two digit number stamp on the left side of the action or barrel? As some were date stamped just as BRNO, eg 71 for 1971. Also is the mag a banana shape? This would indicate 70's.

After having a google, it could well be a 400 sporter version. Similar to this https://www.gunsamerica.com/91693058...Shot-Rifle.htm

No digits on the left hand side, and the trigger guard is made of a black nylon/plastic material

Same markings as one of the photos in that link. After a bit of searching, I came on to this link https://www.pmulcahy.com/bolt-action...n_ba_spr_k.htm. Maybe of some help, as reading this makes yours more likely to be a variation of the Model 300. Bloody shame its missing the bolt, as they are a brilliant piece of Germany workmanship and yours looks very pretty.

Just one more example of why NOT to store the bolt separate from the rifle.

For secerity purposes ALL my bolts are stored seperate to their rifles. In 57 years I have never lost a bolt/forgotten to get it out and take it with a rifle to hunt.

Yeah fair enough, but let's face it how many similar posts to we see on here? It's not possable to store the bolt separate on my 308 lever gun so what is the point in the bolt gun sitting right next to it?.
Just buy a decent safe and be done with it.

@Nzcoup1 are you willing to sell the pictured bolt? I coincidently have been given a Krico which I'm pretty sure is a model 300 that is missing its bolt.

A while back I contacted @Mathias regarding my Krico's age but at the time was unable to post any pictures but now can so I thought I would see if anyone has an idea what model it may be and its age (approx)

That's just like mine. I don't know what model they are.
